Abeokuta school pupils clearing public refuse dump

Pupils of Odeda Local Government (OLG) Primary School, Obantoko in Odeda Local Government area of Ogun State, on Thursday, were seen engaging in self-clearing exercise of the public refuse dump at the front of their school (along the Old Abeokuta-Ibadan road) in order to check epidemic outbreak.

A school teacher who challenged this photographer for taking the picture, lamented that the dump “is causing mess” for both academic and non-academic staff, hence the clearing exercise, wondering why such picture would be taken.

The protesting teacher who was also involved in the clearing exercise, was however helpless upon identification of the journalist.

This is a responsibility of government left to poor innocent school pupils and exposing them to health hazards. DumShame of a government, you will say
