Abbas congratulates Gbajabiamila on appointment as Chief of Staff to President Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the speakership position in the incoming 10th House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, has congratulated Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila on his appointment as the Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement available to news men in Abuja by his campaign Media team, Abbas said Gbajabiamila’s appointment was a testament of his pedigree, capacity and competence to handle any national assignment given to him.
The lawmaker, who represents Zaria Federal Constituency of Kaduna State, hailed President Tinubu for making the right choice.
According to the statement, ‘ Hon Gbajabiamila is bringing to the table two decades of parliamentary experience during which he occupied the positions of Minority Whip, Minority Leader, Majority/House Leader and ultimately the Speaker.
” President Tinubu has once again demonstrated that he is truly a talent hunter and a strategist by appointing Gbajabiamila to be his Chief of Staff.
“I want to appreciate Mr. President for making the right choice in appointing our Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila as his Chief of Staff.
“To me, this is one appointment that has shown that Mr. President is not only strategic in his thinking but also sagacious in his leadership.
“I know that the Chief of Staff to the President will work assiduously with Mr. President to make Nigeria great,” .
This came just as the member representing Akoko Southeast and Southwest Federal Constituencyf Ondo State, Hon. Adejoro Adeogun , described the appointment of Hon Gbajabiamila’ as a reward for competence, Commitment and Loyalty.
In a congratulatory message to the outgoing Speaker, the lawmaker said,
” just as the popular saying goes; ‘the reward for a good work is more work’. Your appointment as Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu , is in recognition of your competence, resourcefulness, unalloyed commitment to nation building and consistency in loyalty to the progressive ideology throughout your over twenty years as a legislator.
According to him, “It is my opinion, that yours is an earned appointment through proven outstanding leadership. You are unaguably one of the most passionate leaders in public service across the world, and absolutely the best fit for this job.
” While i thank Mr. President for finding you worthy of this job, I must also say that Mr. President’s appointments so far will surely deepen Nigeria’s democracy, create synergy and unity of purpose between the executive and legislative arms of government, and would ultimately lead to improved service delivery to the citizenry.
” I must also commend Mr. President for the deep thought he put into the choice of this first set of appointees. The appointments of Rt. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, who presided as speaker of the 9th Assembly and His Excellency, George Akume, who was a member of the National Executive Council in the last government, will help to regain institution memory, facilitate smooth transition and enhance continuity in governance. Also, for the first time in the history of Nigeria, the top tier of government is peopled by leaders with vast experience in the legislative and executive arms of government. This will definitely yeild unprecedented gains for the masses of our country.”.
