74 hearty cheers to a leader with intellectual depth
The Honourable Member representing Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo, has greeted the immediate past Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbe on his birthday anniversary.
Dr. Ottah Agbo in a statement by his media adviser, Mr. Andrew Agbese, described the former minister as a transparent leader and quintessential orator who spoke truth to power and raised the consciousness of Nigerians!
The Lawmaker, popularly known as the Ozigizaga and Moving Train of Enone Politics, said Chief Ogbe was among the fire brand leaders in the 2nd and current Republics who worked hard and left legacies at the early stages of Nigeria’s return to democratic rule.
He said the return of Ogbe to politics in the current republic where he rose to become the national chairman of the People Democratic Party, PDP, remains one of the high points of Nigeria’s internal democratic experience!
“Chief Ogbe is no doubt one of the shiny lights of democracy in Nigeria and I commend him for representing Benue State effectively, when he served as the Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly as well as the whole country when he served in other national capacities, especially when he served at a very young age as Minister of Communications!
“We definitely need him around, may God continue to keep him in good health as he has so much to offer to the country.
“On behalf of my family and the long suffering people of my federal Constituency which he also belongs, I wish him a happy birthday anniversary,” the Lawmaker stated.
