245 killed in March across Nigeria – Chidi Odinakalu

Two hundred and forty-five people are reported to have been killed in the month of March, 2019 across Nigeria.

The figure was made known by activist and former chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, Chidi Odinakalu inttwo tweets posted on his verified and official twitter handle.

Odinakalu disclosed that seventy-four people were killed in Zamfara, Kaduna recored sixty-four and Lagos recorded four deaths.

According to him, “Reported killings in #Nigeria, Mar 2019: Zamfara–73, Kaduna–62, Edo– 4, Bauchi– 1, Rivers– 7, Bayelsa– 5, Delta– 1, Imo–10, Lagos– 4, Cross River– 2, Osun– 1, Adamawa–11, Akwa Ibom– 5, FCT– 1, Benue–26, Katsina– 2, Nasarawa– 2, Borno– 7, Kogi– 23, Kebbi– 2, Ogun– 1, Ondo– 4.

The police according to the figure, contributed to seven, banditry contributes to seventeenth and Boko Haram contributed to four.
