2027: My committee’s recommendations will boost our chances – Buni
Governor Mai Mala Buni, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Constitution Review Committee, is confident that his committee’s recommendations will strengthen the party’s chances in the 2027 general elections.
The seven-man committee, set up by the APC’s National Executive Committee (NEC), aims to review the party’s constitution and recommend amendments for further inclusivity, participation, and involvement.
The committee’s members represent various regions, including Sen. Opeyemi Bamidele (South West), Barr. Alphonsus Ogar Eba (South South), and Prof. Babagana Umar Zulum (North East).
Buni emphasized that the committee will engage widely with founding fathers of the party to ensure that the recommendations are informed and effective.
He stressed that the committee’s goal is to promote inclusivity and widen the scope of operations to prepare the party for the 2027 elections ¹.
The committee’s terms of reference are wide-ranging, and Buni is committed to delivering recommendations that the NEC can work with ahead of the convention and 2027 general elections.
