2023: I’ll be ‘Nigeria’s president for Nigerians’, says Bala Mohammed, as he gets PDP nomination form

Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, on Thursday, officially joined the 2023 presidential race as he got the intent and nomination forms of the Peo￾ples Democratic Party (PDP).

This came as he received the forms in Abuja from a consortium of groups of young Nigerians under the platform of BAM-V.

Responding after receiving the forms, Mohammed said if he gets the presidential ticket and subsequently the general election, he will be “Nigeria’s President for Nigerians.”

As president, Mohammed said he will work to eliminate nepotism and harmonise dif￾ferences in the country.

While describing the PDP as the strongest, formidable and largest political party in Africa, Mohammed added that he will be an “amenable”.

While commending the BAM-V for the gesture, Mo￾hammed said that he is championing the need for consensus and will make sure youths and women are car￾ried along in all channels of leadership. If elected president, Mo￾hammed promised to pro￾vide Nigerians with exempla￾ry leadership.

He thanked the leadership of the BAM-V under its Na￾tional Coordinator, Comrade Jibo Muhammad and prom￾ised to continue to come up with initiatives aimed at up￾grading the living standard of all Nigerians.

In his remarks, the Bauchi State chairman of the PDP, Hamza Akuyam appreciated the gesture of the BAM-V, adding that Bala Mohammed will no doubt make Nigerians proud.

Earlier, BAM-V National Coordinator, Comrade Jibo Muhammad explained that members of the movement polled resources to raise the N40m fee for the intent and nomination forms
