2022 Women Aspirants Summit —Adesanya-Davies congratulates organisers and aspirants
Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies congratulates both the organisers and all aspirants at the successful outing of the, “2022 Women Aspirants Summit” in Abuja held at Sheraton Hotel on March 29, 2022. She says, “It’s a very laudable summit project, commendable venture and worthwhile adventure.”
In attendance amongst several other aspirants was Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies, a frontline female presidential aspirant, Kwara-born IRA Princess, the Presidential Candidate of Mass Action Joint Alliance (MAJA) in the 2019 election and the only Amazon in the 2023 Presidential race on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) the oldest and largest political party in Nigeria and Africa.
Again, Amb. Prof. Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies affirmatively made her Presidential declaration at the event speaking with several media correspondents while responding to their interviews. She resintrates: “May I state clearly that, “I am set to take over from president Muhammadu Buhari as next President of Nigeria in 2023. I have a dream that one day a woman will become the president of Nigeria to reform the nation, and the dream is now. I make this declaration in good faith, that I have the vision, mission, dream, drive, knowledge, courage and capacity to reshape Nigeria with a feminine touch in grand style and lead the country to social, economic and political stability and advancement through my PMA ADVANCED RESTRUCTURING AGENDA.” – FCT, ABUJA.
She emphasised at the “Women Aspirant’s Summit 2022” the fact that, women are are usually the highest voters and they no longer go carry last! Why can’t we support and vote for ourselves? She asks.
It’s imperative that as the political parties release time tables in order to meet up with required deadlines under the 2022 Electoral Act, that the Nigerian Women who are aspiring for offices scale through from primaries to candidacy.
The historic summit was put together by: The Nigerian Women Trust Fund, 100 Women Lobby Group, Women in Politics Forum and Voice of Women Radio is targeted at achieving this goal.
