2021 AFCON Qualifier: We are fully ready for Sierra Leone-Coach Rohr
Ahead of the 2021 AFCON qualifying double-header with the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone on November 13th and 17th respectively, the Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has revealed that his team is fully prepared and ready to go.
Though, the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City venue will be without fans according to a directive from the CAF, Nigerian government, PFT, and Health Ministry with NCDC as a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Speaking to the Super Eagles Media Team, ahead of the games, the German-born tactician Rohr expressed: “We are good mentally because we are happy to be back in Nigeria for one year because the last game here was in November 2019, if you remember well, before all these problems, and now finally, we are back.
“It’s still not normal football because no crowd but we are back and we can play football and see our friends, our families and it’s very important to everybody.”
Three-time African champions are currently on six points in Group Log L, with 6 points and would secure their ticket to Cameroon if they triumph against Leone Stars in a two-legged encounter.
