She urged parents, teachers to encourage children to have a dream and do all they can to help them fulfil their dreams. “We must not stop to pray for them continually. We must therefore dream big and pray fervently and without ceasing.”
In his admonition, the PICR, Pastor Balogun tasked the pupils to always be good ambassadors of the RCCG schools and to excel in all areas of the careers, while urging teachers to always justify the confidence reposed on them by the schools management.
“Actually, this is Redeemer’s Day of RCCG, this is an event organised by all the Redeemed Schools in Edo State. One of our corporate missions is to affect immediate environment. Through these schools, we are imparting knowledge of God, about environment into all these children. With the intention that they will become great and have dominion.
“So that is part of RCCG Christian Social Responsibility. Training children in the way of God and in the knowledge of the society. Every school has their own inter house sports, but this is a combined event all over the country to showcase that we operate in unity,” PICR said.
Similarly, Commissioner for Education on his part remarked that education is the bedrock of the society and a means to fulfilled future for the young and growing pupils. “But as we all know, all work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy.
“On this basis, the organisation of events such as these encouraged by the government as they help create a balance between education and play which promotes the overall development of the pupils and gives them the drive to compete healthily.
“On this note, I will like to applaud the management of these great schools for this initiative and to emphasis that they keep up the good work of bringing these pupils together to perform in various fields such as sports and cultural activities.”
