2019: I’ve not declared for president –Al-Mustapha

Chief Security Officer (CSO), to the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, has said that he has never declared presidential ambition against the 2019 general election.

Al-Mustapha, who spoke through his Personal Assistant, Mallam Idrees Galadima, made the clarification against posters of his presidential ambition that have gone viral online in recent time. He was said to have entered the race for the coming presidential election on the platform of his newly registered political party, the Green Party of Nigeria (GPN).

The PA, who spoke with THE PARROTERS on phone from Abuja Saturday night, said, “as a law abiding citizen of this this country, Mj Almustapha has never and will never engage in any act that can contravene the laws of the land.”

According to him, the presidential ambition posters in circulation are suspected to be the handiwork of detractors whose aim is to discredit him and tarnish the hard earned reputation of a gentle Military Officer for reasons best known to them.

He recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has emphatically stated that the lid on electioneering towards 2019 has not been lifted, saying, “and Al-Mustapha is a person that will jump the gun in anything he does as a gentle law abiding citizen of this great country.”

While urging the public to ignore and disregard the posters, Galadima, who admitted that his Principal is eminently qualified to occupy any office in Nigeria, including that of the President; however urged his supporters, well-wishers and admirers to go about their lawful activities in accordance with the law of the land.

The PA was of strong conviction that, things will sort themselves out at the appropriate time just as he said that only Nigerians can decide, through democratic means, who would be their leaders, submitting that, “no amount of evil machinations from anybody or group of people can change what God has in stock for anybody.”

Galadima therefore advised the teeming followers of the former CSO to keep calm in the face of any unwarranted provocation, saying God is in charge of every man’s destiny. THE PARROTERS
