Obaseki, Deputy Remove APC flag from government House, other places

Following the resignation of Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki from being member of All Progressives Congress APC), the state government has ordered outright removal of the party flag from Government House and other places.
This became necessary as the second term bid of governor Obaseki hit the rock on June 12 due to discrepancy in his credential presented to the screening committee of the party in Abuja, which led to his disqualification from contesting the forthcoming party primaries later this month.
Obaseki, who ambition to return to Dennis Osadebey house at GRA, Benin City under the party flagship may no longer be achievable since he has been told to look elsewhere in order to carry out his ambition, as APC is bent on looking for a credible candidate with genuine academic qualification to feature at the govern is his lection in the state.
Similarly, state Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu and other members of the cabinets yesterday removed the party flag to signal his resignation from the party as well, an event that drew applauds from those in attendance.
As if that was not enough, the state government equally instructed that the party flag be removed from all government offices and establishments to demonstrate its readiness to pitch tent with another party yet to be announced.
By this action, the deputy governor, Comrade Shaibu who is also from the same Edo North Senatorial District with the National Chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole is poised for a real war with Oshiomhole as the battle for the gubernatorial election later in the year will be two horse race between the two Comrades in the area.
