OGUN SWAN APPOINTS ‘CASH MADAM’ SON AS PATRON

Sports Writers Association of Nigeria,SWAN,Ogun State Chapter has appointment Mutiu Adebowale as its new patron.
The induction of Adebowale took place at Abeokuta Sports Club,located at Government Reservation Area,GRA,Ibara,Abeokuta in a colourful manner,witnessed by larger percentage of club members and sports writers across all media.
The SWAN patron is the Chairman, First August Construction Company and a son of famous female socialite, popularly called Cash Madam. He is also President of Abeokuta Sports Club.
Speaking at the event, the newly branded patron said he would contribute meaningfully to the developmental growth of the sports association.
He said, he felt honour to have been considered for the position, and promised not to disappoint the association in all ramifications.
Adebowale while speaking further disclosed that, Abeokuta Sports Club under his administration has just embarked on an Olympic size swmming, which is expected to start functioning by March.
When asked to consider speaking with Ogun State Government, to cease the opportunity of the swimming pool as training place to raise team for sports festivals and other swimming competitions, he said, it would only welcome such if government approach the club.
Earlier in his speech, Chairman Sports Writers Association of Nigeria,SWAN, ,Hakeem Akintunde said the appointment of Adebowala was as a result of his developmental disposition to sports elevation.
He added that, the sports writers in the state, at the congress unanimously picked Adebowale to be appointed the patron, an indication that he was a consesus candidate.
