LISAIM Organises Three Months First Ever Interfaith National Prayer

The Life Savers Ambassadors, a conglomerate of interfaith and strong religious women is organising a three month National prayer for Nigeria.
The group in a statement jointly signed by Bishop Dr. Juanita Nwendu, President (LISAIM); H.E. Amb. (Dr.) Aisha Audu Emeje, Vice President (LISAIM); H.E Chief Mrs. Grace Ezeife
National Secretary, said the prayer became imperative in view of the nation’s numerous internal dilemmas.
The first-ever national prayer for Nigeria tagged “WOMEN of Nigeria crying for peace”. – Arise the Deborah in you, Awaken the Esther in you and Activate your Motherly Role like Nana Aisha ” is scheduled to take place at the Women Development Centre, Abuja
The state reads: “Like every other country, our great nation, Nigeria, is baffled with numerous dividing internal dilemmas ranging from ethnic, religious to political, threatening to plunge us into national conflict.
“Recently, a northern group led by the Arewa Consultative Youth Congress gave the south-east (Igbos) an ultimatum to leave northern Nigeria before October 1, 2017 on the grounds of the incessant agitation for a sovereign geographical and political region.
“In times like this, it becomes highly imperative to take all measures to mitigate an imminent threat to our democracy, unity and national peace. For we believe that we are stronger together irrespective of our differences in tongue and tribe”.
The national women prayer will comprise both Religious leaders and the Nigerian Masses alike. It will be a powerful prayer intercession and interaction of all faiths starting from the month of August through October, the statement reads.
