A member of a robbery gang,Olanipekun Olatunji has offered himself to hence serve as informant for the police,as a way to checkmate robberies and other crimes.
He made this known in an interview with Dailydispacth at Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad,FSARS, headquarters in Abeokuta, adding that,he was ready to partner with police to addressed the menace.
The suspect who is currently under investigation with the crime burster, confessed that,he was once detained for nine months in prisons over robbery,but regained freedom after securing bail.
He disclosed that,the last robbery operations which landed him in trouble water,was when the gang invaded a school located in Obafemi-Owode local government area of Ogun State and carted valuables which include laptops and other equipment.
He was arrested alongside five other gang members which include three women,who are known receivers of their stolen goods.
He also confessed that he specialised in stealing of goats,because it is easy to dispose them((stolen goats) to catering operators.
The suspect added further that,his area of operation in the underworld was stealing of goats,across Ibadan town in Oyo State,before he was later introduced to armed robbery.
The suspect said,he has so far stolen over 100 goats,and disposed them to buyers,who are mainly canteen operators,adding that he sells each goat between N1,500 and N2,000
